So i just remodeled almost all of my house including my room, and the astros i just got today tops it all of!

for all of those wondering, i don't sleep in a bed, but rather a couch...

Nice setup, and digging the hardwood floor. I just recently moved into a new home, been doing a bunch of different remodeling in the house (carpets, kitchen countertops, paint, etc.). I should try and take some new pics of the living room setup, though it's similar to the old setup pictures I have. Our living room expanded though by about 4 feet in depth, so I can no longer sit on the couch and game, as it feels MUCH too far away. =( sadness.

thanks, one thing i regret not doing is a before and after pic. but before the hard wood i had 20+ year old carpet that desperately needed to go...it was bad.

I have never read the DOOM novels, but some of the Halo novels are a bit dry. I would recommend The Fall of Reach, Contact Harvest, The Cole Protocol, and although i have never read it Ghosts of Onyx, which is about the Spartan 3 program. Halo Reach will follow Spartan 3's :) one of Noble Team is a Spartan 2, but i cant remember who it was, it might be Jorge...

Hells yes i got the collectors :) Im a sucker for Halo, I've had some money saved up for it for a while, i knew Bungie would never send Halo off without a collectors.

To be honest, im trying to get used to it. Everything looks so "dynamic", or for a lack of better word "real".
I would not buy a 3D model, if you go down to Best Buy and look at their setup, and watch a 3D Blu-Ray, it does not look 3D, and the quality is very meh.

To truly view a 3D movie at home, you need a 3D TV, a 3D Blu-Ray player(or DVD i guess...) and the glasses.
Personally i would wait about 5 years for price on 3D tech to go down, and then by then it will not oly be cheap but drastically improved.

I owned a 37" Vizio(i think it was gen 1) and the pic was amazing, never broke or had a dead pixel, and I've had it for 3-5 years and ended up giving it to my mom.
Anyone who want a nice TV, at a cheap price should look at Vizio's over top models as they are amazing quality.

Go for an LED TV, but dont spend more than $2,000. Even though it has a great picture, I'm sure if you wait and search for good deals you will find one.

Also im watching Bleach on my Xbox now, and i have to say the picture quality is mind blowing for a Cartoon/Anime. far surpasses my monitor in picture, as well as my old HDTV.

Samsung has a tv that lets you watch 3d movies in 3d just like in the theatres. Some HD channels are going to start doing some of their shows in 3D, I know ESPN is one of them. They plan to put sportscenter in 3D, not sure when though.

some blu rays have 3D, so when you use a 3D TV, with a 3D Blu Ray player, it will make it look 3D with powered glasses, but it doesn't work very well.

I bought it about 3-5 years ago for $800 and its a 37"
a 37" Vizio now sells for around $400-$500

DLP's are cheap because you have to replace the $500 bulb every few years, I already researched them...and they arent worth it.

During the days of VCR's and VHS tapes, Europe had Betamax instead of VHS. Also recording studios and broadcasting studios used Betamax a lot. They are actually more reliable than VHS tapes but when they kicked off, VHS was already widely used in the US so they really couldn't change the standard as everybody already had VCR's.

You know, It's strange. I don't know why laser discs never took off. They were more high fidelity than VHS or Betamax so you would assume that they would have been the preferred choice.

Actually, the reason is that everything is getting smaller and smaller and Laser Discs were as big as a vinyl record so it didn't stick around for long.

Its people like you that give canadians a bad name. btw just cause i can illegally download movies straight to my ps3 deosnt make it legal or morally right for the matter.

I like the set up but the tv is way to big for me i used to play on a 54in. I had to let it go then got a free 36in. polaroid (who knew that they even made tvs) and its a 1080p lcd. that is what im currenty gaming on and i think that sometimes that its too big.
