My sister started playing modern warfare 2 and now makes gameplay commentaries on her videos. She's actually REALLY good compared to other people (Her K/D is like 2.50) and most of all, she's a girl. She's been through some stress with her going to college and trying to earn her degree for being a doctor so it would be awesome if people actually liked her videos and it would make her feel a lot better. Same, to be honest a girl playing games is just like a boy playing games. Nothing special.

I was in a Modern Warfare 2 - Search and Destroy match with my Girlfriend and she got a winning kill on the other team. The other team was taking the mickey out of this dude saying "OMG you just got pwned by a Girl haha" etc.

Made no sense to me.

I used to play halo 3 with my sister a lot before she went to college. Every time she spoke on the mic, we always got a response from one of those people. This is true. Like I said in my last post. I don't find Girl Gamers anything special or different from Male Gamers. To be honest I had that same problem with my Girlfriend and it just annoys me as you have people on the microphone going at it, it distracts them from the game and it distracts me and my Girlfriend from the game. I just normally Private Chat or Party. Its like they have never seen a Girl Gamer in their life.

Pretty good. I subscribed for ya. I also find the rudeness etc. towards female gamers unnecessary and completely.. dumb. I guess it's mostly younger kids around my age that probably play with male gamers a ton more then female ones, and then when they find a girl gamer they turn all "OMGWTF?" or w/e. I find it really immature.

I see no difference besides the fact that they're male and we're female. :P And the fact that we mostly outnumber them online.

I have a ton of girl gamers on my friends list.
One is a good friend's sister, one is my girlfriend, and one is one of my best friends. Breezy you'd be on there too if you got internet!!!
I like playing with girls. I mean it's not like a huge deal or anything, I just enjoy playing with them. It's just a change from playing with guys. It's not like I'm perverted or looking for a girlfriend, I just think they're fun to play with. The only times I get really irritated with regards to girl gamers is when:
a. Guys get way out of hand with it and annoy the sh*t out of everyone because there's a girl in the game
or
b. When a girl who may or may not be good thinks she has to put up a super b*tchy front because she has to prove she's good or something.
I totally understand that girls get slighted a lot on their gender, but rude bio's and bad attitude from somebody I don't even know annoy me.
Overall I'd say that toggle mute is a girl's best friend if they're being annoyed.
Well actually it's everyone's best friend and the first thing I do in every game :)

i think xbox live chat should be a privlage not a right. peoples chat should be banned more often, and for longer periods of time, but then i guess who am i to say who can say what and to who. thats why this is america!.... but seriously some kids need to cool it

But being serious. A lot of Girls do have it hard and I feel sorry for them especially if they have to go into a game on their own because more than likely they will get trashed talked, it makes sense when I see girls either in Parties or with no microphones plugged in.

p.s. You must be skilled because I have had trouble getting an Airdrop lately :p

In gaming especially it doesn't make a difference what gender you are...I for cannot see any reasons why a guy would be better than a girl or vice versa. If you're good, you're good and I'll give you credit....most of these idiots playing these days I just mute and the only time my mic is on when I have some friends playing, or I actually like the people I'm playing with....i talk **** to my friends, but I just never understood the need to **** talk to people you don't know...what is it that you get out of it....

I've never been an advocate of any of this girl power, man power or anything else of the like, implying that on gender or someone with a lifestyle orentation is superior in an aspect simply because of their gender or lifestyle orentation makes no sense to me. I've always judged people by action rather than appearance or any ignorantly informed observation.

Equality is not infinite in the details but it's pretty true in grand scale.

So in summary guy, girl or gay if you can beat me online I'll be annoyed :P

I never got the whole "omg it's a girl easy kill" and stuff that goes on because I've had my butt handed to me by girls on call of duty so I'm fine with it lol. I have a friend I play with whose a girl and recently got into FPS games and she isn't the greatest but we try to help her get better and it's funny when we go into games and people are like "Is that a girl on your team?" with the "Is the girl on your team hot?". What I don't get is why when my girlfriend plays (never played FPSs before or xbox lol) and she doesn't do that great and her team gets mad and says it's because she's a girl. It pisses girls off because it's not that they are a girl they just haven't played and are getting used to the game... When people say stuff like that and she gets mad enough she just hands me the controller and I'll show them up and she'll gloat and stuff and in the end she ends up having fun. People need to realise online on anything, that no matter the gender people are just trying to have fun and relax and don't want to deal with the trash talking.

That's the problem in this modern year. Everyone is the same.

See I don't know why, I mean I don't mind, but Girl Gaming started getting bigger last year in 2009. I started seeing more girls on games such as Halo 3 which actually surprised me. Again for everyone else its either another excuse to win, gloat and annoy the other team who lost with the girl gamer.

I mean if I ever play with Girls sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, to be honest I don't care neither does my friends as long as we have fun that's all that matters. We have been round each others houses with about 4 Xbox's at a time and the Kill cams that we see make us laugh. To me its about enjoying not winning.

I think Bungie has gone in the right direction this time with Halo Reach Matchmaking so you can set your settings to Fun and No Trash Talking so you will get paired up with people the same as you although I can see people abusing that system as well.

I've had games where people will start trash talking to me (older and younger alike since I'm more in the middle since I'm turning 18 end of this month) and when me and my friends retaliate and beat them they instant bad rep us and make us look like we're the bad people. If you think about it, or the way I see it at least.. I see people all the time picking on both genders. :P I think that people are just fascinated by the fact that they see a girl gamer, so they act upon it either rudely, or some other way. I was actually just thinking this.. when I play Halo 3 or any other game, after the game has finished, there's someone trash talking to usually a male(since males outnumber females in the gaming world). Though nobody really says "Trash talking to males is very excessive and unnecessary.". But I see people saying that for females. The way I see it.. there are people who are just excessively rude to both genders, some may pick on a specific one.. but, generally they're just rude to whoever and try to find a 'weakness' to put them down. In this case, for being a girl they'd make some outrageous comment for their gender.

I've seen girl gamers be extremely rude to male gamers as well, so there's no difference. Well, besides gender. :P

I hope this is clear enough to those of you who read this. If not, I can clarify. I don't know if anyone else agrees or disagrees with my statement but, please, lemme know! :)

Yea I know what you're saying DBakerr, I was recently playing mw2 with my friends and there was a girl on the other team who beat me and then talked outrageous trash to me and my team, so the next 4 games I used my favorite gun and annihilated them beyond any recognition, including 2 nukes. Then I decide it's acceptable to gloat and she (and her posse) immediately leave. Yeah gloating was unnecessary in hindsight, but the girl started it in this case, and the more girls I see on lately the more I'm being trash talked by girls. Hmph. You have Xbox Live Rep which is nonsense to be honest.

Halo Reach is just going to be another search settings so you can set yourself to Friendly, Nice and Recreation (Win or Lose) and it will find people who are similar to you.
