Here you go guys. A little information collected from testing this headset for the past few days. Some things I didn't really go over in the video because of time constraints.

- I'd like to give to astro on their packaging. Seems silly to mention, but it's like you have the red carpet rolled out for your headset, or it's like an invitation package to the centurion club haha.

- So you hear the different mic's qualities in the video. The a40 easily has the better quality(when used with the mixamp the a40's mic is really great in response, without the mixamp it's hard to get xbox live to pick it up(used the steelseries adapter before getting the mixamp). The a30's is overly responsive and picks up breathing and easily distorts/blows out if you talk just a little above normal. It still performs ok, but you really have to find a sweet spot. However, using the inline mic, it was pretty awful. when resting at the normal level, it makes you sound 5 years younger than you are, and it makes you sound like you have a lisp. I was going through the mixamp to my computer, so it may be that. For the comparison review that's coming soon, I will be using the inline mic on an iphone/droid to see if it comes in any better.

- Comfort wise, a40>a30, but the a30 is very very comfortable. The micro suede like earpads are super comfortable, but in hotter weather you'll be missing the a40's circumaural design.

-I will be making an additional video and a full written review of this headset after letting it adequately burn in, where I will be comparing it against ~15 headsets and headphones. The entire roundup will be coming in a few weeks.

Hope you guys enjoy! If you do, please comment/rate/subscribe, it would really help me out.

Thanks again!

-Steggy

I really enjoyed the vid... I prefer the a30 because it's more stylish and even though I'm pretty good at gaming I wouldn't consider myself a "hardcore" gamer. But I'm sad that the mic is so bad...

Actually I'm pretty sure that the A30 is for gaming, but its more for on the go. And the A30 actually has better sound quality regarding bass, which is great for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. And the A40s are just too... nerdy?
