I'm not MLG and I don't want someone out of the blue come to me and ask "What's MLG?" or "Do you MLG?" and give them a blank face in reply.
I do wish though that in future itterations of Astro Apparel that they take the same "custom tags" approach to their apparel as they do to their Headphones. I mean sure I could probably sew a patch in there somewhere but I'd rather Astro do it for me for $19.99 + shipping and handling :-)

i would buy the MLG edition just because it looks better than the other symbol and it adds a bit of color...

I'd say they are comparable to the A40's size wize. Really, its that the A30's are tiny. Cute though

Nice! I should get my A30s by this Friday, but I got them in black.
How do the Tritton's compare to the A30s? I should be getting my white A30s tomorrow. These will be my first gaming headphones, and I'm pretty excited. I just get a little worried that maybe I should have went with the A40s or another headphone though. But I'll be using them for my iPod and PSP too, so I think the smaller design is much better for me. And I wasn't sure about getting the white or black too, but we'll see. I'll decide if I want to swap them once I see them in person. I figured the white would stand out a bit more and wouldn't look like standard headphones. But all of my electronics are black, so I was a bit torn which color to get.

Based on your needs, then the A30 is deffinitely what you need. If you plan to use headphones in conjunction with an Ipod, PSP or Iphone then the A30's ability to be a "jack of all trades" is deffinitely what you need. The AXPro's are not portable and are strictly for home gaming use.
The A30 is the perfect size if you're going to be outside a lot, the A40's are simply just too big to be using on the daily commute. Not that you can't but the practicality that the A30's offer just make it the sensible choice.
Now the choice wether black or white... in all honesty, when you're wearing them, you're not going to see them and the color isn't going to matter when your pwning n00bs. Now if you want others in the real world to notice them then deffinitely the white one will do that for you. I've got black hair so the black a30's would not have stood out if I wore them, I'm not going to lie... the A30's are beautiful. The A30's really do stand out. I get a kick in the subway commute when I see someone wearing a pair of skull candies try to steal a look wondering "what the hell are those?".
As far as actual sound performance goes. sad to say I will have to go with the AXPro. That's ofcourse just my choice. Its the never ending debate of Simulated 5.1 (A30) vs Digital 5.1 (AXPro). Everyone hears things differently and so it all boils down to preference. The only way to find out for yourself is to try them each out. I just find the customizabilty of the AXPro a much better fit for me. The ability to adjust the volume output from the front, surround, center, sub, and voice gaming chat channels independently from one another a big plus for me. Fidelity wise, the A30's offer a much cleaner crisper sound. However, with the proper tuning of the AXPro I get better spacial separation from them thus I get a more precise return of audio feedback in gaming. I've tested both on Bad Company 2 and MW2 and I can identify the source of gunshots and footsteps better with the AXPro. Again, that's just me.
In the end, your purchase of the AstroA30 will be well worthi it and you will be very pleased (I hope). Opening up their shipping box will be like Christmas in Spring.
