Best Deal you ever got?

So, as I was writing a post about some people possibly getting in on that Dell astro a40s deal, I thought about this question:

What is the best deal you ever got?

I guess we could break it down to gaming, as well as in general.


For myself, in gaming... eh, there's not much. I have some friends at EA, so I can purchase games for $15. Guess that's the best, but they don't come out with that many great games these days.

For best deal in general: I'm a musician, and I was able to purchase a Direct Input (DI) box by Avalon Designs called a U5 (retails for $585) for a whopping price of $320 off of ebay. =P

last year I bought a victimized truck (hurricane rita, near galveston) from a mechanic/storage yard that put a lien on it. it was a good bargain but what made it an awesome deal was the surprise i found under the seat, wrapped up in a nice little carrying pouch was a 9mm pistol w/ two full clips of ammo. the gun itself looked crappy but unused(the brand i think was "pelican" firearms or something like that) and it had marking that said made in china engraved in big bold letters(big red flag there); so i didnt get to shoot it it. after i made some calls i ended up selling it for a quick $200 bucks.. its not like reporting it was a good idea

but my fav bargain (i usually get screwed over buying stuff) ever probably has to be when i paid $49ea (the price tag on them were marked from $250 then to $199 each)for a pair of technics sl12000 turnatables it was like fate n the universe guided me too it. Its a long story that involved: McDonalds, a scandalous black hobo, my friend and i skipping school, gold necklaces, a fat chick, us getting scammed hard,us scamming another kid hard, sears, guitar center, a gold testin/sampling machine, and EZ Pawn pawnshop that explains how i ended up paying $50 bucks/ea for $500+ turntables, its along story and even taught me a lesson about human greed.. but i didnt want to write out the whole story and nobody likes reading long forum posts anyway.. but it all ties in and explains it(iknow it sounds like b s since pawnshops fist consumers by overcharging,but it actually happened), besides i had to describe my truck purchase because it isnt often a person gets a gun stashed in a car deal and i got to be a black arms dealer for the day
oh and astro warblade thats awsome your friend hooks you up w/ ea games, since they launch sport games like every year.

I got a $750 US fender guitar for $100 off of my friend who thought it was a crappy guitar. i guess thats pretty good lol

I traded in my Wii, and they actually put two Wii's on the Reciept. Because it was there mistake they let me keep the trade in price.

I purchase a Playstation 3 Slim (With Free LittleBigPlanet), Motorstorm: Pacific Rift and SOCOM: Confrontation (With free Official Playstation 3 Wireless Headset).

Not really a deal but the best deal I ever had on a trade in :).

i got my Dell studio 1535 for $250 new from my sister super hot friend. so i went to her house to pick it up and she had just come back from the gim and was wearing this tight outfit. so i got a good deal and saw some hot a$$ at the same time. common you cant beat that. lol
