Spawn System - MW2

So does anyone have any insight into this...is there something specific about where people spawn...i've did a search and all i see is people complaining about it...but i wasn't sure if there is a science to it...like if i kill a group of people in a section, will they spawn there or somewhere else...or is just all random

Well, in general it seems to spawn you with respect to where your teammates and enemies. I think it takes into account three things, the density of enemies in an area, density of friends in an area, and the general area that your team began (at least until you switch sides).
other than that tips I have are:
1. Don't overtake an enemy's spawnpoint, this will lead to about 3 kills, but your whole team getting taken from behind.
2. If you are looking at a place, 99/100 someone will not spawn there. If you go around a corner and come back, you might catch someone spawning (FFA)
3. If you see your team on your UAV getting kills in an area, and then overtaking that area, watch your arse.
4. If you can kill people in their spawn from a distance, they'll probably spawn there again (this is especially effective if you have an ac-130, because if your team is hanging back, and you kill their team, they will spawn in the same place and provide you with delicious delicious multikills).

If I think of any more I'll write them. Spawns are USUALLY predictable, but it's the times when it isn't predictable are the ones where it bites you in the ..

Also, a tip straight from SeaNanners, keep your back to the edge of the map, this keeps people from ever spawning behind you and is sure to limit your deaths.

i know if your playing karachi and its domination you better hope you dont have just c or your spawn trapped for the rest of the game lol

My favored setups for Domination
Wasteland: Control A and C flags then camp underground (they will be spawning behind B near the houses/helicopter pad)
Karachi: Control A and B flags then camp above the C flag (they will be spawning behind it)
Favela: Control C and B flags camp on top of buildings (they will be spawning directly on top of A)
Scrapyard: Control B and C camp in the middle of the map/next to the giant crane (they spawn in the A building)
Terminal: C and B camp in the book store/ on c flag, dont let them flank (they will only spawn in the gift shop right next to A)
Underpass: A and C camp in the drainage place and on top of buildings (they will spawn in the back of c, way in the back)
Highrise: B and C camp on top of the helicopter pad and in front of A flag (they will spawn in the back of A always)
Afghan: C and A camp on top of the cliff (they will spawn in the poppy fields and in the giant bunker)
Derail: C and B camp in the main building (they will only spawn on A (dont let them run around you though)

When i play i NEVER cap all three flags, hope this helps for domination, any other maps im missing let me know (i know im missing some maps, just cant think of them...) any other game types just look at the area of the map where you have no team mates and generally thats where they are :)

But as with guns, I like to capture all three because.. well.. it's fun :) In domination I usually go upper 40's in kills and 10 and under in deaths and what I always do is help the team capture 2 flags, and then control my own little area. But if they're walled up in their spawn, unless they won't let me take it like on Highrise, I'll run in there and try to make them spawn elsewhere. Then I run the marathon to their new spawn lol. It's always really fun that way :)

standing in front of where they spawn (at a distance) you obviously cannot stand on the spawn points or else they wont spawn there

What happens is if they control one flag, and your team has the other 2 flags, as long as you don't get too close to their spawn point, they'll keep spawning at whatever flag location they hold.

Karachi's C flag point is notorious for this. =P

Oh, and with Domination, you typically always want to hold just two of the flags, this is so that you'll always know where you enemy is coming from. A lot of times the enemy team will end up taking one of the flags, (Say if you have A & B, they have C, then they take A). What my clan usually will do is go and rush their original flag (C) while defending B, as they usually had to do a big rush to take our flag.

This happens frequently on a map like Wasteland where it's a bit harder to contain the enemy to one area in Domination.

i dont even remember, its been like 2 months lol... but @ warblade, once i start to control the a and c flags on wasteland (and im playing with my team) we dont let flags change lol, c4's on ea flag helps protect them and we have people watching any spots to flank so it doesnt really work...

IMO C4 might be the most amusing weapon to use in the game :)

it really is, using a riot shield throw c4 and wait for someone to run over it in S&D or wait for them to reload then throw it lol (always double tap x to detonate c4)

Played a few matches of MW2 today and realized a few things. The game is amazing, so long as these three things don't happen.
1.)Get spawn trapped
2.)Not run into people using nothing but pro pipes with danger close
3.)This one is more opinion but about half of the maps on MW2 are unplayable for me. (I'm looking at you Rundown and Estate in particular)
Also it's so funny how I'll be having a ****ty game barely going positive then go on a tare and get a predator then harrier then pavelow then all of the sudden I'm running a 10/1 K/D. I also noticed almost no one has any interest whatsoever in the objectives because every game consisted of people camping it out regardless of flag caps. We won a match 200-83 and the opposing team didn't seem to mind us having control of 2 or more of the flags throughout the whole match. I just feel like I'm more control of my destiny when I play CoD4 but that game is so damn old that there really isn't that wow factor when I do well. Its funny because a 25-5 game on MW2 is acceptable while 40-3 is common on CoD4. If anyone wants to play a few matches of either game feel free to add me Shadow 173.
