TOSlink Cable

Hello all,

I am looking to purchase the A40 Audio System, and I have one quick question: Does the TOSlink Cable that allows Dolby Surround come included with the Audio System. I ask this because I would like to have everything ready to hook up to my xbox.

No, I don't believe it does. Their is an option to have it included when you go to buy the headsets, just click add 6 feet.

Just like General Twigums said, they are not included with any of the audio systems but there is an option right below the rechargeable battery pack option I believe. The TOSlink optical cable comes in 6, 12, and 25 feet options.

I may be stepping over the boundaries of the forum, but monoprice.com offers some great prices on optical cables (and other cables in general).

6FT Optical cable from Astrogaming = $19.95

12FT optical cable from monoprice.com =$6.00
12FT Optical cable from Astrogaming = $24.95

25FT Optical cable from monoprice.com = $8.40
25FT Optical cable from Astrogaming = $34.95

Then again, you would have to order from another company, and wait for that other package to come in, when you could just get it all together with your A40s. When you're paying this amount for the A40s, I guess it's not that much more in the long run.


I will let you know that they have a rebranded Xbox360 VGA cable there for just $6.45. I bought one of these and use it when the wife wants to use the big screen and I want to game. Works out great, and $30 cheaper than the "authentic" one. =P

but the TOSlink cable comes seperate.
