Well, it's now officially been announced! Portal 2, this 2010 Holiday Season!

I for one, was extremely pleased by the first Portal game, when it released back with "The Orange Box" on Steam. Amazingly fun, puzzle-type gameplay, with some neat backstory into the Half-Life world to boot.

The absolute best thing about the game though? That ending credits song "Still Alive"! GLaDOS! The cake is a lie!

Yes I cannot wait for it.

The first one was excellent and was worth purchasing again on the Xbox Live Marketplace. With Portal 2 coming out, I think it was cool that Valve has been tweaking the ending of Portal on the PC version.

Just some little notes that can be added -

Portal 2
Platforms - Microsoft Windows (Steam) and Xbox 360
Release Date Q4 2010

Little Spoilers (Beware)

The now-edited product description cites new features, such as new characters, return to Aperture Science Labs and the return of GLaDOS, as well as introduction of two-player co-op mode with entirely unique characters and story.

"Features single and multiplayer co-op modes. The single-player portion of Portal 2 introduces a cast of dynamic new characters, a host of fresh puzzle elements, and a much larger set of devious test chambers. Players will explore never-before-seen areas of the Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion who guided them through the original game. The game’s two-player cooperative mode features its own entirely separate campaign with a unique story, test chambers, and two new player characters. This new mode forces players to reconsider everything they thought they knew about portals. Success will require them to not just act cooperatively, but to think cooperatively".

Yeah, the Two Player Co-Op will be really interesting... I loved the fact that some of the puzzles from the first took some intuitive thinking and timing, but now if there's a way that you have to go through the game with TWO people and timing things... man, it's going to be fun! =P

Think my wife needs to make a chocolate cake this weekend...
