Optical Cable dosn't "Click" in

Ok so I just got my astro's two days ago and everything was fine... Came home today after a lan and I find that my optical cable won't go into it's slot. I checked that im trying to put it in the right way and I am. I plug it into my PS3 and it connects fine. I take a look inside my mixamp and I see that the metal tag that is supposed to clamp the cable in there is blocking the receving end, don't know how.

I flicked the tag up but now the optical cable just sits there. It works but if I knock the mix amp or a gust of wind comes into the room then it will fall out. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I really don't want to send back my brand spanking new mixamp to astro.

Also just checked, the cover to the optical cable port is missing. Has anyone's cover fallen off as well? Should I send it back, it is literally less than 5 days old and I was very carefull with it :mad:
