790i vs 680i Motherboards

I had to buy a new mobo so i got the xfx 790i ultra, just wondering if i will see a difference in speed, and if so how much. IT was only 120$ at Tiger Direct and i remember back when it came out it was like 350$, Pretty ridiculous.

Generally, with each mobo revision, you'll maybe see a few percentage points on a performance increase as a result of the mobo. The factors that will impact the overall performance are obviously RAM, proc, and video cards. To be honest, when it comes to a mobo, just get a good brand w/ a good chipset.
