My volume meter is about 3/4 of the way up with the balance knob about 3/4 of the way up to game volume.

my master volume is probably 75% and the mixing knob is turned just a little towards voice...this is for cod4. other games I change it.

I keep the Master Volume knob at around 50% and the Balance knob is usually set almost completely to the voice side. Communication is key.

Mine is also 75% up on sound and a little towards voice on the mixer.

I heard poeple saying they turn off the dolby and can hear things better. Does anyone do that? I know I tried and I didnt like it.

Most pro Halo 3 teams do not use dolby at tournaments.

I only really use it during movies, campaigns, and CoD.

So what, do they just keep it on Stereo?
That's dumb, imo.
Do I need it on maximum volume to hear Dead Silence on CoD?

No way max, you'd go deaf...really. I hear it pretty well at 75%, less is probably better for your ears anyway.

Yea I don't understand why they don't use Dolby. That's a main part of the price of the mixamp, if it didn't have Dolby Decoding for the virtual 5.1 it'd be a lot cheaper.

Do they use the optical cable at event? Just seems weird to me. I want to try it again when I get my a40's back.

Yea it is kind of weird. Maybe for Halo its better I don't know I've barely played Halo. For COD4 definitely they would keep it on, if not then I don't even know why they have A40s.

i leave mine at 75% master volume, and balanced almost all the way to voice when gaming with friends.
and 50% when i play by myself with balance in the middle too.

Whoa! 75% master volume makes my ears bleed! I have mine a smidge over 50% and it's super loud. I haven't tried the voice/game balance yet until I get a working 2.5mm cable. lol

I keep mine about 60% Master and almost 100% voice. Even doing that i have to talk pretty loud because of how great the audio is.

I keep my master volume at the 1 o'clock position and the game/voice at 12 o'clock position.

2 o'clock master and 2 - 3 o'clock voice

Mine changes with different games. I played W@W the other day and it seemed a lot louder than MW2. I play MW2 around 1 o'clock....W@W was at 11.

I noticed last night when playing MW2 on 360 that when I had the voice dial cranked all the way to full, no sound came out at all. It completely muted all voice and game chat. Yet, when I do the same thing on W@W, it works fine. Is this another MW2 issue?!

I would like to know the same because this would really suck ~

I keep my master at 35% and my game at 100% for MW2, but in Halo i keep master at 50% and voice at 65%

Hmm... for your first setting...wouldn't that negate any voice chat?

yup, I dont like to listen to all the homophobic 12 year olds on MW2 (sorry for the vulgarity, but it's true), so i don't use a mic on it unless I'm with friends. But on Halo people are a lot more mature, from what I've experienced.

I see. I feel ya on the immature ppl in some games.
I'm on MAG a lot and there are some kids that haven't gone through puberty yet. But still wish to wield a gun...

I dont have a problem with the kids if they can handle a Mature game, but when they start saying things they shouldn't be saying or arent old enough to say it aggravates me. if I said half the stuff these kids say when i was 13, my parents would have kicked me out.
Parents should monitor what their kids say.

I agree but the monitoring thing is going a little bit overboard.

This thread was almost dead lol

Casual gameplay I go 10 or 11 o'clock master and 4 or 5 o'clock voice.
Intense gameplay I go anywhere between 1 and 4 o'clock master and usually stick with the 5 to 6 o'clock voice.

There is no 4 o'clock master and no 6 o'clock voice, on mine. =P''

Just curious but, what MixAmp do you have as my master volume doesn't go beyond 3 o'clock and my game/voice balance doesn't go beyond 5 o'clock?

Cheers...
