Topic speaks most of it.
I purchased my copy on Bluray and DVD. I am an avid Halo Fan, and I like to get 2 copies of a lot of things so this is no exception. I really liked it, there were a few strange episodes, the first two were kind of slow but it's understandable since they were explaining the story.
I like the parody episode. :P
Anyone else been interested in it at all?

I've been kind of interested in checking it out, being a halo lover myself, but I have no idea what it is about. Is it just the halo story in animation?

It's.. kind of hard to explain, it's multiple stories, one containing John Spartan 117. The others, different characters. There are 8 episodes, 1 is a parody with a Spartan 1337. There are the first two which are kind of slow and explain the story so far pretty much and what happened. The other episodes are kind of strange but all fit in weirdly, but I like it. Pretty much 5 character stories, and 2 called Origins I and Origins II which are about the entire Halo story in it's own way, and then the parody.

I picked up that "The Animatrix" when it first came out, and liked the different styles of anime derived from it. (Never really been into anime that much though, so it was bought on a whim, lol). I'll want to check this out as soon as my buddy buys it for his BluRay player.

As do I. (Not a big fan of Anime my self.) It's the only Anime that I own, (Halo Legends.)
To the least, if you like Halo.. watch it. You may not like it but just to get it off your mind.

Im still waiting for my copy to turn up, my friend said it was epic and if you have read the books and completed all the campaigns it fits in perfectly with everything.

In thinking about these anime shorts, I realized I still haven't watched "District 9" yet. My friends ridicule me because I haven't. =P But for those who aren't aware, Peter Jackson was supposed to be working on some Halo Film, but the rights to the film fell through, so he developed the movie "District 9" after they had already started making weapons and vehicles from Halo. My friends told me that you can see the Halo Battle Rifles and Warthogs in the movie. =P

Yeah, Neil Blomkamp (the director) was helmed to direct the Halo movie. They picked him off of some shorts that he did (which inspired District 9). The Halo movie was shut down for a lot of reasons. If I remember correctly, it was the rights, a ballooning budget, script issues. A bevy of things. But Neil Blomkamp definitely did a good job with District 9, I don't remember seeing any Halo items when I watched it though.

@DBakerr, I'm sure there will be. It's such a money-making venture. I think Halo Reach will stoke the public's desire to see a halo movie even more

I still have not watched it yet. I watched a couple of episodes on Halo Waypoint but that's it. I am making the hard decision whether to purchase it on Blu-Ray or when I get my Internet back on Monday purchase it on Zune HD (They have rent and purchase)

I know what you mean Nitropete! I loved it, and that's why I have two copies! It looks even better on Bluray!
It actually takes music from 4 games-ish if that's what I'm thinking. Halo: CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars. Unless if it was just Halo 2 / 3 / Wars.
I also know what you mean by it's impossible to pick a favorite, I really don't know what to choose, they're all so unique and awesome! I loved it very much.
