alot of little kids on there trash talk about nothing, you know... parents arent home and it makes them feel cool to swear at people. but yeah, i like the game but just dont like the trash talkers, what your GT?

Lol true that... a lot of the kids I've came across trash talk all the time and it made me wonder how they learned to swear like that ( since they sounded so... YOUNG! ) haha. Then again, there's also older teens ( like 18-20... maybe older ) who also trash talk... I simply mute them instead of wasting my time talking back at them. :)

I remember playing on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and there was this one dude who was drunk as hell. Couldn't see the screen properly and wouldn't stop knifing a tree. Then about five minutes later he asked someone where his Killstreaks was. Our whole team was laughing at him.

So he started trash talking, so then he was muted. By the powers of Xbox Live!

I'd love to throwdown with some Halo. No GTA, but Halo is definitely a go. I think that's essentially the stand-by game for whenever you're looking for a back-up to what has just come out.

And MW2 is pretty easy. If you're patient and don't get frustrated, you can normally get the best of any situation.

I just think you can't really call a game like that easy. It depends entirely who you are playing. For instance, play some randoms at lunch time on mosh pit, easy. Play organized people in hardcore search and destroy at 10 pm, hard. The game itself is not one or the other, merely a vehicle for you to put your skill against someone else. Although Halo is more of a skill based game.

It's also kind of a personality test.

Yeah, I completely understand that. I guess I should say in my experience and in the gametypes I play, I've never really run up against that much trouble. I normally play TDMExpress, occasionally TDM Hardcore, Domination, Demolition. In TDMExpress, it's not that bad. I completely agree with the skill of the people you're playing against, though. I'm not saying that I win all the time, but I think it's easier to rebound against a better team in MW2 than in Halo 3.

And I've played quite a few games when the opposing team was organized and I only play with randoms. Absolutely destroyed. On ps3, most people don't have mics. So, I tend to be a much more reserved player since I can't get feedback from my team-mates.

Playing on a team with people who don't communicate is a huge pet peeve of mine, so it always annoys me when people don't have mics :P

LolXCoreZorz I understand that it may take some skill, but when I look at my friends playing Halo 3, and then they turned to CoD: MW2 when it released.. they became instantly decent - good level on it.. and never went back, probably because they feel like they're doing some impact over there. But when they go back to Halo, well.. you know what I'm going to say.

Anyways, I'm up for a game night or something, I will point you to this thread if you guys feel like it. I just feel it is better, so we don't eat up this thread.

I was always really good at halo, and when I switch back to it from mw2 now and then, I'm even better. And mw2 is absolutely more tactical than halo. Halo is pure skill base, and people who used strategy were few and far between.

Uh, I would actually say that Halo is more strategy based. It all comes down to skills + weapon pickups. If you can control the map well (cover power ups and major weapon spawns), you can hold down another team and keep them to just using assault rifles and BRs (which are still deadly).

MW2, because you spawn with pretty much whatever weapon you want, makes weapon spawn camping non-existant. Then it's just lay out of the land and semi-map control. It's a more "reaction" type game play, where usually the person who has better reflexes and a quick aim, can kill the other person.

Halo requires a bit more teamwork as well, as it takes what, 4-5 BR shots to down a person?

4 BR last one to the head kills. 2 Snipes or 1 headshot kill. Both games you CAN implement strategy, but halo it is rarely seen like it is in mw2. I'm not sure who you play with, but I know that in halo I could take out the entire enemy team unless they had rockets or there were more than 2 on me at once pretty consistently whatever strategy they tried to implement. mw2 you are SOL if there are more than one if they see you. Halo you matched skills way more than you do in mw2.
For example, MW2:
You get shot in the back. You're dead.
Halo 3:
You get shot in the back,
a. throw a grenade and run
b. turn around and fight a really hard, short battle
c. just die
Halo strategies are unusual in xbox live. Usually everyone either rushes, or slowly rushes. Everyone tries to get guns, and then it's just chaos.
Mw2 you start with guns to compliment your team, you go for positions to compliment your team, and you have to talk so your team doesn't get killed by that guy only you see. Tactics are absolutely necessary if you want to do well at mw2
Halo I could run around and own people all day. Most people miss the VAST majority of their shots. If you don't miss, you can take down two people shooting at you at once most of the time.
And weapon spawn camping may be a tactic, but it's a poor one. There are a ton of weapon spawn points for BR's and that's all you should need to dominate. Realistically, I've never had it done to me anyway. Which probably has something to do with everyone on halo rushing constantly, aka not using tactics.
Pros use tactics/stratgy in any game they play.
Randoms on xbox live do not use tactics on halo, they at least try on mw2.

True, if you're spotted on MW2, you're pretty much dead. But with the killcam and instant respawn, a revenge kill is pretty likely. Having no PS3 MW2 friends, I only play with randoms and only if it's SND or Hardcore do the randoms try any sort of strategy. In Mercenary TDM, people are a little bit more serious so I've seen my team try to get together and cover our backs, but it's a rare occurrence. Having just got a new 360, I can't speak too much of how the Halo community is doing. But, I know when I did play, if you're getting dominated in Halo...you're getting dominated, it's incredibly hard to mount a good comeback

Yeah, I believe there is a an Application on the computer called AlienFX's or something like that. It can change all the colours (Independently) on the Keyboard, Mouse and even the Alien Head on the front of the Laptop screen.

Ah, see now I wish I could afford enough PC to run Dragon Age at full settings. I own it on PS3, but I played the PC version at a friend of mines house and the experience was much better.

It's hell being in college and can't afford much of anything.

Alienware Laptops are nice for gaming. But I would prefer to build a Gaming Desktop as Alienware/Dell XPS computers are a rip off.
