I just got my astros today in the mail and i like them i really do i just have a question and a suggestion. My question is i used a turtle beach x1 before these and is it better to play mw2 with the DD on or off i feel more comfortable playing with it off b/c when its on i feel like im in a big room by myself? my suggestion is the mic cord from the controller to the mixamp is really weird and muffles sometimes and falls out but i plugged in my TB x1 mic cord and its so much more snug to the controller and you can control the voice volume more i really like it.

I prefer playing with the Dolby Digital button On. You can read this post (http://forums.astrogaming.com/showpost.php?p=6407&postcount=9)where I talk about the differences, and why it appears to be louder when not having DD on.
I moved your post to the "Suggestion" forum, as it seems your suggesting Astro includes a different controller cord (the 2.5mm cord from the xbox Controller to the MixAmp). I'm actually a little surprised, as most people who have tried using another 2.5mm cord usually end up with some high-pitch noises in their headset and/or voice communications. Astro's cord has a pod like device included on it, which I believe works similiar to the ferrite beads found on some USB cords (mainly for Cameras, to help eilminate noise over the USB cable).

Hmm this 2.5 mm discussion is catching my interest. I was thinking I might buy that cord aud was talking about because I often find myself pushing astro's back in. Can anyone comment on the squeaking phenomenon? I'm curious if it would be a waste of money.
